Four Steps That Ensure Victory

12 Sep 2015

God intends for you to be victorious in life! It doesn’t matter what you are going through, the victory is available in Christ Jesus.

First John 5:1-5 says: “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments [to love one another even as he has loved us]. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”

When you made Jesus the Lord of your life, you gained the biggest victory of all—life over death. No person on this earth is immune to the persecution of the devil, but God’s Word is victorious! Get His wisdom concerning your situation (Proverbs 4:7; James 1:5). The following four steps will put you in position to receive your victory.

1. Make the decision: I will not be defeated in life, and I will not quit. I will receive from God (Romans 8:37). This is a decision of quality, based on the promises found in God’s Word, from which there is no retreat.

2. Take your stand in the grace and goodness of God (Romans 5:2; Galatians 5:1). Fully expect the glory of God to manifest in your situation.

3. Give your attention to God’s Word (Proverbs 4:20-22; Joshua 1:8).

4. Refuse to speak words contrary to what you believe you have received (Mark 11:23-24). Refuse to give place to the devil or entertain his thoughts (James 4:7; 2 Corinthians 10:5; Philippians 4:8). Answer every doubt immediately with the Word of God.

We are called to minister together.
