You have authority on the earth! Given by God to mankind from the beginning (Genesis 1), your authority is not to rule over other people; instead, you are meant to have authority over every situation–physical, financial, emotional and spiritual–in your life. Most Christians do not boldly take their place in a position of authority because they don’t realize they have authority.

1. “Then God said, ‘Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground’” (Genesis 1:26).
2. “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:28, KJV).
3. “You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority” (Psalm 8:6).
4. “When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan” (Proverbs 29:2).
5. “Jesus came and told his disciples, ‘I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit’” (Matthew 28:18-19).
6. “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you” (Luke 10:19).
