Your prayer is the most powerful blessing your church could have. It’s the key to a strong, healthy body of believers! The disciples who followed Jesus’ ministry saw the results from His prayer life and requested that He teach them to pray (Luke 11:1). They realized it was prayer and time with the heavenly Father that made all the difference as Jesus spoke the Word of God.

There is no better way to pray for your church than by praying God’s promises from scripture over your church. There’s a wonderful prayer by the Apostle Paul in Colossians 1:9-14 that you can use as a guideline for praying for your church.

Pray that your church leaders and members:

• Will have complete knowledge of His will so they receive spiritual wisdom and understanding,
• Will be strengthened with God’s glorious power so they have all the endurance and patience they need,
• Will be filled with joy, always thanking the Father who has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His dear Son.

Any church walking in the reality of these verses will be a powerful and effective witness to their community and their world!
