Here is one suggested prayer, based on promises in the Bible:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You today that my kids are delivered from darkness and are living in the kingdom of Your dear Son. I declare and speak light into the eyes of their understanding today. They are taught of the Lord and hear the voice of the mighty Holy Spirit who teaches them how to excel in all things.
i remove the spirit of fear and confusion from them and declare truth to be revealed to them today—straight from heaven. I speak the end from the beginning and declare complete success over the entire school year. I thank You that other believers are crossing their paths to be used as instruments of Your kindness and love for them in every way. I settle this by Your Word. In the Name of Jesus I pray and believe! Amen.
Listed below are some scriptures we believe will help as your children grow:
Psalm 119:99 1 Corinthians 2:16
Proverbs 10:7 2 Corinthians 2:14, 5:7
Isaiah 54:13, 17 Philippians 4:13
Daniel 1:4, 17, 20 2 Timothy 1:7
Matthew 19:26 James 1:5
Mark 5:36 Revelation 12:11
Romans 8:37
You can use these scriptures to build a prayer or confession of your own. For example, based on Daniel 1:4 your child can confess, “I am a child of God. The Lord has given me His favor. I am skillful in all wisdom. I am resourceful in knowledge and have the understanding of science. I have the ability to stand before my teachers to be taught and tested successfully. I am successful at learning and have the ability to learn [subject].”
God has given each of your kids the power to be more than an overcomer by using their faith coupled with yours. First Corinthians 2:16 says we have the mind of Christ. When you put your faith in God and speak His Word, the Holy Spirit will give them the understanding they need as they listen in class, do their homework and study for tests. God is able to help them get excellent grades!
