Living in Manifested Love

10 Oct 2025

Do you ever feel like you’re doing everything you can to get Jesus to show up in your life, crying, fasting, or repeating old traditions, yet nothing seems to change? You’re not alone. For years, Spirit-filled Christians have gone to great lengths trying to convince Jesus to manifest Himself. I know, because I was right in the middle of it. And I can tell you firsthand, none of it worked.

Why? Because Jesus never told us to do any of that. He didn’t say, “I’ll manifest Myself to those who cry the loudest or fast the longest.”

What He did say was this:

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” —John 14:21

Jesus has never withheld Himself. He has already made Himself available to us. If we’re not enjoying His manifested presence and power, there’s only one reason: we’re not doing what He said.

Love: The Core Commandment

A lot of Christians get confused here. They think Jesus was only talking about the Ten Commandments. But when He said, “keep My commandments,” He was talking about everything He tells us in His written Word and by the leading of the Holy Spirit, including His new commandment in John 13:34:

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”

That command is at the heart of all Jesus said and did because He is love. To keep His commandments is to live in manifested love. And yes, you can do it! God has already equipped you (John 14:23). His love has been poured out in your heart by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). You don’t keep His commands in your own strength, He fulfills them in and through you by His Spirit.

  1. Jesus Was Sent to Bless

So what exactly did Jesus see and hear from the Father that made Him the perfect manifestation of love? Acts 3:26 tells us plainly:

“God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you….”

From the very beginning, God’s plan has always been THE BLESSING. That’s why it shows up on page one of the Bible (Genesis 1:28). Jesus’ assignment was to restore what Adam lost in the Garden. Everything He said, everything He did, even going to the cross, was to bless and redeem us from the curse (Galatians 3:13-14).

And here’s the key: Jesus has called us to carry on that assignment. Every command He gives is designed to empower THE BLESSING in us and through us.

  1. Don’t Let the Devil Rob You

When Jesus tells us to forgive, to reconcile, or to walk in love, He’s not giving us busywork. He’s showing us how to stop the devil from robbing us.

Yes, your flesh may not feel like blessing the person who hurt you. But this isn’t about feelings, it’s about faith and obedience. God’s Word is our training manual. It corrects us, sets us straight, and teaches us how to fly right when our emotions want to spiral out of control (2 Timothy 3:16).

Just like a pilot learns recovery techniques for unexpected turbulence, believers must learn to recover from “unusual attitudes” of the heart. When offense, anger, or hurt feelings try to take you down, you can override them with God’s Word and choose to walk in love.

  1. Keep Flying in Love

Job didn’t have the revelation we do, but even in his darkest moment, he declared:

“Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.” —Job 13:15

That decision turned everything around. How much more can we, who have the Name of Jesus, the blood of the Lamb, and the indwelling Holy Spirit, walk in victory?

Jesus never stopped blessing. In fact, the last thing He did before ascending into heaven was lift His hands and bless His disciples (Luke 24:50-51). And He hasn’t stopped since.

So, don’t waste time crying and begging for Him to manifest Himself. Just do what He said. Walk in His commandments. Walk in love. When you do, His manifested presence will flood your life, and THE BLESSING will flow through you to a world that desperately needs it.

Live in Victory

That’s our purpose. That’s our calling. And that’s the life of victory, living in manifested love.

Make the decision today to walk in love. As you do, you’ll experience His manifested presence, and THE BLESSING will overflow through you to others. That’s real victory!
