“If God be for us, who can be against us?” – Romans 8:31 (KJV)
Have you ever wondered why, after you got born again, God didn’t just take you straight to heaven?
Think about it, heaven is perfect. No pain. No devil. No temptation. Gold-lined streets and peace everywhere. Even the Apostle Paul said, “to depart, and to be with Christ…is far better” (Philippians 1:23). So why are we still here?
Because God needs you here.
He’s not finished with you yet. In fact, your assignment is so important, He planned it before the foundation of the world. Heaven can wait, but your calling can’t.
You’re Not Here by Accident
So many believers think they’re just “making it through life” until Jesus returns. But that’s not Bible truth. The Word says you’ve been called, anointed, and graced for a purpose. Whether you’re in ministry, the marketplace, raising a family, or leading a prayer group, your life is part of God’s Kingdom plan.
“Each of us is called to the work of the ministry…for the edifying of the body of Christ.” – Ephesians 4:12
You weren’t saved just to sit on a pew and wait for glory. You were saved and set in place to distribute the anointing of Jesus on this earth.
God Doesn’t Do “Insignificant”
You might feel unqualified, but that’s not what God says about you. Religion may have told you that you’re “just a sinner saved by grace.” But the Bible says you’re a joint heir with Christ (Romans 8:17), seated in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), and chosen for such a time as this (Esther 4:14).
You were created to live blessed, live bold, and live on mission.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained…” – Ephesians 2:10
You were designed to make a difference.
You’re Graced for This
I’m often asked, “Brother Copeland, how do I know what I’m called to do?” The answer is simple: go to the Word and go to the One who created you. He’s not hiding His will from you; He’s trying to get it to you.
Just like I knew from a young age, I was called to preach, sing, and fly airplanes. God has planted desires and abilities in you. Those graces were tailor-made for your assignment. Your gifts, your passions, even your personality, they all point to your calling.
“God set the members, every one of them, in the body, as it hath pleased Him.” – 1 Corinthians 12:18
You’re not a mistake. You were born to be right where you are, doing what God called you to do.
Every Part Matters
Maybe you’re not a pastor, teacher, or prophet, but you are a member of the Body. And every member matters. If you withhold your supply, others feel it. But when you show up, equipped and obedient, the whole Body is edified.
It’s not just about you, it’s about all of us, working together, being fitly joined for a divine purpose.
“If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it… If one is honored, all rejoice with it.” – 1 Corinthians 12:26
You are significant, and your role in the Kingdom is irreplaceable.
You’re Here on Assignment
We’re not just waiting for heaven. We’re working toward heaven. The world needs Jesus, and He’s sent you to deliver the good news.
“The works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these…” – John 14:12
That’s your mission. That’s why you’re still breathing air. It’s why you wake up with purpose. Until your assignment is complete, heaven can wait.
Don’t be moved by circumstances. Don’t let pressure push you out of place. Stand your ground, declare your calling, and say:
“I’m staying right where God needs me until my job is done.”
That’s how the Apostle Paul lived. And that’s how we’re called to live, faithful to the end.
Declare This Today:
“Father, I thank You that I was born for a purpose. I am not an accident. You graced me before the foundation of the world, and I walk in the good works You’ve prepared for me. I am fitly joined in the Body of Christ, and I release my supply with joy. Heaven can wait, I’m on assignment for Jesus!”
