In situations such as this, the proper response is always to walk in the love and wisdom of God. In the Church, it is not uncommon to find many Christian people who believe that signs and wonders and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are not for today. That is crippling for them. God’s Word says in Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Satan is able to steal from believers when they don’t know what belongs to them or how to stand for their inheritance.

So how should Christians who do know what belongs to them respond? It is commendable that you want to help other Christians know and experience the full salvation that is theirs through Jesus. However, arguing with a church family or sharing the Word among its members against the desire of the leadership will not bring results, but strife. Strife should be avoided at all costs because it opens the door to confusion and every evil work (James 3:16).

God’s Word reveals a better plan. Pray for your church leaders and members to have their spiritual eyes opened (Colossians 1:9-14). Bind the forces of Satan that would blind their eyes and deceive them. James 5:16 assures us that “the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” We encourage you to allow God to use you in peace as He directs and proves the Word through your life and your walk of love. Remember, love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8). Your actions and life will speak louder than your words.
