The problem with wishing someone good luck is that, as Christians we don’t live by luck.

Brother Copeland said that if you trace “chance,” “tarot cards,” “lady luck,” and “joker,” the root word will be the same as it is for “luck.” Not surprisingly, the word luck seems to have been first popularized as a gambling term. As Christians we must understand that we do not live our lives by chance or luck. Instead we live by the Word and Spirit of God, which always leads us on a specific path to a desired end (Proverbs 3:5-6; Jeremiah 29:11).

God and His Word lead and guide us, not luck!
